UK Cross Media Workshop in Beirut

The British Council and Beirut Creative Cluster, in partnership with Skillset Media Academy Wales, are running their first cross media workshop in Lebanon. Cross media, also known as multiplatform or transmedia storytelling, is a media property, service, story or experience distributed across media platforms using a variety of media forms such as television broadcasts, online videos, mobile phones, and downloaded podcasts.
The workshop format consists of a 12-hour program that includes case studies and best practices, assets analysis instruction, cross-platform business planning, and production. It sounds a lot more interesting in their announcement.
While this workshop isn’t strictly civil society related, we know from practitioners like Transterra Media that social activists have been adapting the lessons to their work—and earning money to boot.
The workshop ($100) takes place March 25–28 at Berytech’s new Beirut Digital District and the deadline for applications is March 1, so go on, get cracking.
